Dr. King Lun Au
Director, HSBC Asset Management, Hong Kong Ltd

Mr. Au over sees both institutional and private client businesses in Hong Kong as well as business development in the Asia region. He joined HSBC Asset Management (Hong Kong) as Director, Global Research Group, Asia Pacific in July 1997.
Prior to joining HSBC Asset Management, Mr. Au was the Managing Director of GMO (Hong Kong) Ltd. Before that, he was with Baring Asset Management in London as Director, Quantitative Management, responsible for liability management and quantitative investment. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a PhD in Theoretical Particle Physics from Durham University and a Bachelor Degree in Physics from Oxford University.
Mr. Au holds a number of public service positions which include Chairman of the Hong Kong Investment Funds Association (HKIFA), a member of the Securities and Futures Appeals Tribunal, a member of the Investigation Panel A of the HKICPA (Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants) and a director and fellow of the Hong Kong Securities Institute (HKSI).

Douglas Naismith is Managing Director, Fidelity Investment Hong Kong.
Mr. Naismith has been in the investment management business for over 20 years.

He began his career as a derivative analyst and fund manager for NatWest Investment and Post Tel Investment in the U.K. Prior to joining Fidelity in 1998, Mr. Naismith was Executive Director and Vice President at U.B.S. Asset Management.

Dr. Tan Khee Giap

Upon graduated with a Ph.D. from University of East Anglia, England, UK in 1987, he joined the banking sector as a treasury manager for three years, there after he taught at the National University of Singapore.
Dr. Tan currently heads the Central Banking Policies Research Unit and the ASEAN Economies Monitoring Unit at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
He has consulted extensively with the various government ministries, statutory boards and government linked companies of Singapore government.
He served in the 2002 Economic Review Committee(ERC) and as Chairman of the Task Force on Portable Medical Benefits(PMB).
He has also served as the Deputy Chairman of the IPS Forum for Economic Restructuring(IFER)
Dr. Violeta Ciurel

Since 2004, Dr. Violeta Ciurel holds her position as General Manager for Global Pensions ING Group Amsterdam and Member of the Board of Administration of ING Life Insurance Romania From 2000 to 2004, she was General Manager for ING Nederlanden Life Insurance SA and Executive Director for Retail Financial Services in ING Romania.
Prior to joining ING Romania, She was Marketing, Training and Client Service Manager for ING Nederlanden Life Insurance SA.
She was also Marketing and Training Manager for ING Nederlanden Life Insurance SA.
She is presently professor, Faculty of International Business and Economics at Academy of Economic Studies, Bucharest, She has also consulted for PHARE Program, World Bank, foreign companies, banks, insurance companies etc.

Mr. Lee Tiong Seng

He is an Executive Director and Business Head for Morgan Stanley Investment Management Asia ex-Japan. Prior to joining the firm, he was the CEO for BT fund management for Singapore.
Previously, he managed the securities services in Asia at the Bankers Trust Group and worked at the OCBC Group in Singapore.
Lee Tiong Seng graduated from the University of Singapore in Mathematics. He is a member of the Appeal Advisory Panel appointed by the Ministry of Finance under the Securities and Futures Act, Financial Advisers Act and Insurance Act, a member of the finance committee of the Singapore Reservist Association and member of the Hong Kong Asset Management Task Force, which reports directly to the office of Hong Kong's Finance Secretary.
Lee Tiong Seng was also the former Secretary of the Investment Management Association of Singapore from 1999 to 2003.

Bob is the Regional Practice Leader for Watson Wyatt's retirement benefits consulting practice in Asia-Pacific and is the Managing Consultant for Watson Wyatt's Hong Kong office.
Based in Hong Kong, Bob is responsible for coordinating the retirement consulting services provided by Watson Wyatt's 19 offices in Asia, including our five offices in Greater China.
As Regional Practice Leader he is also responsible for managing Watson Wyatt's benefit consulting services for a number of clients with operations across Asia who require a pan regional perspective.
Bob joined Watson Wyatt in 1987. Prior to residing in India he worked in London as the lead actuary for several of Watson Wyatt's UK pension fund clients - advising both corporate and pension fund trustees on actuarial and investment issues.
Bob is a frequent speaker at conferences on pension reforms. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (UK) and holds a first class honors degree in mathematics from Oxford University.

Luke Distinguished Professor of International Finance and Banking and served as Executive Director of the Asia-Pacific Financial Markets Research Center at the University of Hawaii. He is currently a member of the U.S. National Committee for Pacific Economic Cooperation(USPECC) and a founding member of the Asian Shadow Financial Regulatory Committee. Before he joined the University of Hawaii in August 1999, he was Resident Scholar(1997-1999) of the Asian Development Bank and a Professor of Finance and Director of the Sandra Ann Morsilli Pacific-Basin Capital Markets(PACAP) Research Center of the University of Rhode Island. He also taught at University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie-Mellon University, Ohio State University of Zagreb.

Desmond Ng is Head of Asian Institutional Business at JF Asset Management, responsible for client activities throughout the Asia ex-Japan region. He is also a Director of JF Funds and a Member of the Pensions sub-committee and the China sub-committee of the Hong Kong Investment Funds Association. Prior to this, Desmond was Head of Business Development and has had extensive experience in developing investment products in Hong Kong. He was also responsible for coordinating with regional offices in Asia and Europe on formulating and implementing business and product strategies, including the recent setup of China joint venture. He held other positions within the firm from 1997 to 2000. Desmond received a B.A. in Business Management and a M.B.A. from Clark University in Massachusetts.

Since 2001, Dr. Loeffler holds his position as President & CEO of newly founded Hana Allianz Investment Trust Management Company, a joint venture between Hana Bank and Allianz Group. He was the Chief Investment Officer of First Life Insurance in Seoul from 1999-2000 which was responsible for stocks, bonds, loans, real estate and risk management. From 1998 to 1999, he was the Chief Investment Officer and Head of Hong Kong office of Allianz Asset Management (HK) Ltd., that managed regional Asia ex Japan stock funds for institutional and retail clients as well as giving investment advice to Allianz insurance companies in Asia. He was the acting Head of European Equity Research at Allianz Asset Management in Munich in 1998. From 1990 to 1997 he was in Finance division at Allianz headquarters in Munich with tasks including investment strategy for stock and bond portfolios, company analysis and private equity strategy. Also, he was a Research assistant at faculty of Business Administration, University of Frankfurt from 1987 to 1990.

Rajiv Vij is the Managing Director, Asia for Franklin Templeton Investments since December 2002. In this capacity, he is responsible for building Franklin Templeton's retail business in the Asia region covering Singapore, Hong Kong, India, South Korea, Taiwan & Australia. The Asia region currently has over US$15 billion in assets under management.
