What should the contract term be?

계약기간을 얼마나 할까요?

A: Mr. Anderson. We’d like to draw up the contract. Before then, we have something to check.

B: What’s that, Mr. Louis?

A: What should the contract term be?

B: We would like to start off with 2 years.

A: Anderson씨, 계약서를 작성하려는데 그 전에 몇 가지 확인할 것이 있습니다.

B: 어떤 것이죠, Louis씨?

A: 계약기간을 얼마나 할까요?

B: 우선 2년으로 시작하고 싶습니다.

계약기간에 관해서 논의하는 상황의 대화다. 계약기간을 정할 때 ‘계약기간’을 의미하는 ‘contract term’이라는 용어를 써서 ‘What should the contract term be?’라고 말하면 ‘계약기간을 얼마나 할까요?’라는 뜻의 표현이 된다. ‘How long should we make the contract for?’라고 말해도 같은 의미다.
