‘be required to do(∼해야만 하다)’라는 숙어를 기억해 두자.
require A to do A가 ∼하도록 규제하다 required 필수적인 requirement 필수요건
Unfortunately(안타깝게도)라는 부사로 봐서 다음에 어떤 이유를 나타내는 내용이 올 것을 집작할 수 있다. low in sales(실적 저조)와 not able to employ(고용 불가)는 인과 관계이므로 이유를 나타내는 전치사구 due to가 적합하다.
despite (양보적) ∼에도 불구하고 provided (가정) 만약 ∼라면, ∼을 전제로 owing 빚을(신세를) 진 cf) owing to ∼덕분에(=thanks to) 긍정적인 영향을 가리킨다
