[여행소식] 스페인관광청 "스페인 방문 월간 한국인 관광객 수 사상 최대"

(서울=연합뉴스) 성연재 기자 = 스페인관광청 한국지사는 통계청 집계 이래 월간 스페인 방문 한국인 관광객 수가 사상 최대치를 기록했다고 24일 밝혔다.

스페인관광청은 스페인통계청 집계 결과 지난 5월 스페인을 방문한 한국 관광객이 6만7천여명으로, 팬데믹 이전 한국인 관광객이 가장 많이 방문했던 2019년 5월의 기록 6만4천여명을 넘어섰다.

특히 공식 집계가 나오지는 않았지만, 6월 또한 2019년 기록을 훨씬 상회하는 것으로 나타났다고 스페인관광청은 밝혔다.

이은진 스페인관광청 한국지사장은 "스페인관광청 본청도 이러한 증가세를 전무후무한 사례로 보고 연구 중"이라면서 "특히 현지에 많은 관광객이 몰리면서 숙박비와 전세버스 비용이 폭등하고 있다"고 말했다.
